Recent developments in the Special Constable hiring procedure have led to the use of standardized tests in the pre-interview screening of applicants.
This process involves a series of three (3) tests, which evaluates the aptitudes and abilities required for the position of Special Constable.
***Effective December 1, 2016, applicants will have the choice of completing their written (GATB & WPT) on one day and their Physical Fitness test on another day.***
The assessment process consists of the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB), the Written Process Test (WPT) and the Physical fitness test. Some services also require Vision & Hearing screening.
