Firefighter - Qualifications & Requirements

Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Minimum 18 years of age.
DZ license (must have available a Statement of Driving Record from the Ministry
of Transportation).
20/30 uncorrected vision with no significant abnormalities in colour vision.
Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (must have documentation: i.e. diploma
or equivalency documents).
Basic CPR (Level C) and Standard First Aid.
Excellent physical and mental condition.
Ability to work as a team member.
Ability to cope in high stress situations.
Additional requirements may be requested by individual Fire Departments.

Note: Firefighter Physical Testing will be required upon conditional offer of employment.
